ProHisto,LLC  is a company dedicated to improving immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), and similar cell oriented techniques. Founded in 2006, ProHisto has developed a novel system and accompanying products that overcome the typical problems that occur in IHC and IF:  uneven staining, lack of reproducibility, and high antibody costs. This superior IHC system is based on the patent pending Antibody Amplifier™, which combines immunohistochemistry with key techniques of western blotting. The ProHisto system guarantees even staining, consistently reproducible results, improves sensitivity of detection by up to1000X, and reduces antibody costs 100X or more. All levels of scientists, whether graduate students, full professors, staff scientists, or clinicians, can achieve total confidence in their results using ProHisto products, thereby exponentially improving the assesment of human disease.

The principal scientists at ProHisto have over 30 years combined experience practicing  immunohistochemistry  and have numerous publications in the field. This knowledge base results in supportive and professional technical help available for scientists of every background. 

In 2009, ProHisto joined the ranks of companies selected by  SCLaunch™, a Division of the South Carolina Research Authority, as a client company. SCLaunch provides financial and logistical support to emerging South Carolina start up companies. ProHisto, LLC has facilities at the University of South Carolina in Columbia and near Greenville, South Carolina. The company is a minority owned enterprise, privately held and is debt free.
